The A51 2020

Awesome Is For All

Samsung's Galaxy A51 has been up selling in Eurpoe and the UK from early February and the A51 went on sale in the USA in April 2020 and also is priced at £329/$399.99.

And with the mobile middle range market getting even more competitive than ever, I believed it's a good idea to review a handset that is selling in massive numbers over the globe, the Samsung Galaxy A51. With a conservative yet good looking design, Samsung's A51 comes with quadruple rear cameras, an AMOLED display with a centrally set selfie cam, as well as Samsung's glass-tastick back panel.

Reviewing Performance

Tested Speed And Performance

The Super AMOLED screen is good as we expect from Galaxy handsets}, the colours really seem very bright and vibrant with viewing planes being a delight. There's not a lot to whine about although the people such as Tim Chubb always find something, other than the device is a little dull (however it's still legible) even when in sunlight and not good for viewing, even with the brightness at 100%.

This' when testing top of the line smartphones such as OPPO’s Find X2 Pro 5G the OnePlus 8 is hurtful in developing some balanced perspective of a middle range device like Galaxy A51.
Make no mistake, this handset can be unresponsive upon occasion and we were not sure if the device had indeed sensed the touch or not when trying to open one of the apps or to make use of the device.
The 9611 processor isn't able to match up to the flagship unit and going away from the top former to Snapdragon's 865 chips becomes a sobering experience then you realise that the Galaxy A51 is a middle of the range phone and that allowances need to be made.

And as for the fingerprint sensor, I'll just say that Samsung should have rather put it in the rear panel as I only achieved a success ratio of about 50% when attempting to unlock the A51 then ending up entering the pin code in.
This is really a level of hesitation I have not had to bear for a lot of years, even with cheaper handsets that costs a measly £145.

The Galaxy A51 Styling And Design

With its galssticky rear, the Galaxy A51 does not look or feel like it is a mid-range phone, the plastic construction does seem more forgiving in the grip in that there aren't any sharp edges you sometimes see with phones that have rear panels made from glass that has been toughened.
The design trait on the back paneling is nice and this provides a touch of class to the A51. And the branding on enbtry level phones has been just a touch overdone at times, the Samsung logo has review of the Samsung Galaxy A51 been modestly placed.
You will note a camera that, for whatever reason, is made even noteworthy by what looks like a metal ring that draws attention.
Serious audiophiles are sure to rejoice that there's an audio jack placed on the device's lower edge, sitting alongside the Type C port and the speaker.
On the top of the phone there's a microphone and on the right-hand edge has the power button as well as the loudness adjuster and the SIM tray on the left edge.
Overall it is neat and inoffensive looking unit that fits in a normal-sized pocket with ease.

Living With A51's Battery

If you think about a typical daily workload, the A51 is able to handle the workload and to still some ten percent left in the tank at midnight, but we observed a couple of days when the phone recharging was called for during evening following heavier usage.
The quick charging means that the A51 to get recharged from 0-100% in roughly 2 hour time frame, with a fast charger will take the handset to thirty percent, which is just adaquate but hardly wonderful at this price point.
